Thought Process
Relationship of Thought & Reality
Thought is the response of memory, and without it, one would be in a state of amnesia.
Thought is always old, never free, and cannot be new.
When thought is silent, there may be a new discovery, but thought cannot possibly discover anything new.
When we ask questions, our response is immediate, such as “What is your name?” or “Where do you live?”.
However, complex questions take time, and thought is always looking in terms of the past.
This difficulty of search is due to the difficulty of recognizing what we have found, which is the past.
Thought is time, and it cannot be free because it is the response of the past.
We are always using thought as a means of finding, asking, enquiring, and looking.
However, thought, being the product of time and measure, cannot possibly understand or come upon something that is not measurable.
