The Art of Bowing Down
Gratitude, Kindness, and Respect
In today’s world, we encounter new things, places, and people that enrich our lives and broaden our horizons.
However, how do we react to these encounters?
Do we approach them with curiosity, respect, and gratitude or try to dominate, exploit, and destroy them?
The former attitude is more ethical and beneficial for ourselves and the planet.
“Gratitude is the most exquisite form of courtesy.” — Jacques Maritain
Bowing down instead of conquest involves acknowledging the value, dignity, and uniqueness of everything we meet, and expressing appreciation and admiration for them.
Bowing down fosters peace and harmony by showing humility, open-mindedness, and willingness to learn from others.
It creates a positive and respectful atmosphere, where conflicts are less likely to arise and cooperation is more likely to flourish.
On the other hand, conquest shows arrogance, closed-mindedness, and unwillingness to listen to others, creating a negative and hostile atmosphere.
