Importance of UI/UX in Automotive now

The automotive industry has gone through an enormous transformation from last few decades, from analog gauges, hand shifters, manual steering to digital displays, Electronic transmission shifters, power steering and many more features inside the car. When initially the car was built the main intention was to transport people from point A to point B. . Once this was achieved then the intention was to mass produce for many people and with the help of large industrialization and manufacturing it was achieved. The UI/UX design principles focus was only to make the car easier to start.

Many companies got into the automotive manufacturing industry there was competition on pricing to sell the vehicles to the customer. Once there were many vehicles seen on the road, then there were issues of safety to the driver, passengers and the road users. This resulted in mandating the automotive manufacturers to implement safety features to the vehicle.
